Time to Blog...

So everyone wants an update, huh? Well lets see what I can do about that.

It has been a pretty busy couple of weeks for everyone and I guess I have had my fair share of the running around the state and such. I guess I can begin with a BIG CONGRATES to my good friends Cody and Bob who where both recently married. Cody who many of you may know is a friend of mine who grew up in the sticks and I have known since the 3rd grade. He and his lovely wife Jessica were married the 18th of this month to start off the "Month of marriage". The ceremony was held in San Angelo, TX and it was a blast. I had the opportunity to see all kinds of folks from the past. I visited with my old college roommate, a guy who I taught how to play trumpet while in high school, and someone from the ranch which we grew up on. I spent the weekend revisiting with old friends and celebrating a great wedding.

I got home last Monday to learn that I was headed to Houston for the week to work. I headed down Tuesday to finish a project for Remax of Texas. I met with the CEO of Remax at his new Hanger/Office/Townhouse at the West Houston Lakeside Airport. It was a lot of work and a couple of 7am to 3 am work days but I got him squared away and everyone was grinning at the end. I spent part of Thurday training another client in downtown Houston and then went back to finish up the airport deal. I had told a coworker that I would be back in Dallas on Thursday and I must say even if it was 11:30pm when I got home, that is still Thursday. However I did just get back for another day of ciaos and turmoil, but that is the next paragraph.

So Friday was the kick off for Wedding number 2. I had planned on taking the last couple of hour off so that I could get my tuxedo and join the herd for a rehearsal. I walked into the office and my boss had said, "Well I know you are busy, but I have several thing going on and you will probably have to work late just so we can all catchup." I just told him to hand over the list of tasks and wait for the all clear. Now the amount of work that had accumulated during my absence was impressive, but in no way impossible so I started out by shopping. I went to Home Depot for the screws and such, then to a local security dealer for the rest of my needs. Now at this point it was about 11am and I still had about 6 six service and installation jobs to do during the day and a wedding rehearsal starting at 4pm in Ft. Worth. I quickly went into hyper tech in mad dash mode, with a pinch of any thing for my favorite client mode to show everyone that I encountered during my work would understand that the streaking blur meant then no harm and would get things done. I quickly went to the first call and finished in about 30 minutes, so being the multitasker I was I planned for the day. I devised a route to the customers that would take me by the tux shop, then to the bank and then back to the office for my waiting car. Once in action it was a thing of beauty. I was at the last call at 2:20pm think this is great I can finish in about 15 minutes go get the car and be in Ft. Worth ahead of schedule. ARRRGGGGG Why did I have to think that? Just then my luck changed. I finished the installation quickly and then spent the next 2 hours trying to figure out why it did not turn on. So now finally headed to Ft. Worth at 4:30 missing the rehearsal and with the groom(Bob) on the phone trying to explain where the dinner was the day began to look better. I finally arrived at the dinner and was introduced to all the friends and family from Chicago. After that the weekend was great. The wedding was gorgeous and the reception was tons of fun. We went to Joe T Garcia's for the Reception and the food and entertainment was fabulous. After the reception we went back to the Worthigton Hotel were we stayed and visited until the we hours. Jana(Bride) called to wake me at 8am to go to breakfast and her and Bob were at the door 10 minutes later ready to eat. I spent a good part of the day with them helping them get ready for their Monday trip and answer Jana's every 15 minute question on how was the wedding. It was a lot of fun.

Well since last weekend I have been hiding form everyone and working, but I have made it by the new Kidd house a couple of times and mowed the lawn at the old one. I am glad to see everyone else is doing good and hope it continues. Now I will go to sleep......
